Finding The Balance In Your Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comDid you trade your corporate cubicle or closet sized work space for a home office? Then you have discovered that working from home is a blessing. Lengthy commutes, bad coffee, endless meetings and rude co workers are no longer a part of your life. The horror of a boss with great ideas and rush deadlines 15 minutes before quitting time are a thing of the past. Even though you are happy and making a good living with your home based business, there is still one fly in the ointment. The attitude of friends and family who do not take your business seriously enough. How often do you get a phone call from friends or family who need a last minute favor during the week? How often has your spouse asked you to take Fluffy to the vet, pick up the dry cleaning, and take Junior to volleyball practice? Does your best friend call you for relationship advice at your busiest time? If any of these scenarios sound familiar, then the odds are good that there is a lack of respect for your work at home business inside your circle of friends and family. Maybe this problem has been created by you. When you talk about your work from home business what kind of words do you use and how do you express their meaning? Are you being timid while communicating that you are not working that hard? You need to express pride of ownership and a firm sense of accomplishment about your home business so that others will understand the effort it takes. Do you have an answering machine to take calls when you are busy? It is not rude when the workload is heavy to return phone messages at a later time (except for emergencies). You have to learn to say no to well meaning friends and family when thay ask for a favor during the work day. Remember, this individual is intruding during your business hours. Offer a concession. Tell them that you will take an early lunch to help but you will need to get back to work within the next hour. Remember that your venture will only be taken as seriously as you relate the importance of your home business to others.
