3 Important Tools For Marketing Your Internet Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comPromoting your home business on the internet is crucial for making money online. You must invest your time and effort into this aspect of your work from home business if you intend to achieve the success that you desire. Marketing on the internet provides your home business with the exposure that it needs. Conditions are in constant flux on the web. Marketing strategies that worked for your work at home venture yesterday may not be as successful today. Here are a few ideas that can expose your home business to potential new customers. 1) SEO (Search Engine Optimization) For the internet entrepreneur who wants their website to be a success, this is the first step to consider. If your online business advertising budget is limited, SEO can save you money. Optimizing your website is like building your brick-and-mortar store in a major shopping district. A web site that is not optimized is similar to having your business halfway down a dirt road with a rusty sign pointing in the wrong direction. Its importance cannot be overstated if you want your home business adventure to be successful. There are many facets to SEO and there is not enough room in this article to explain them. Information on this topic is easy to find on the internet. Do a Google search and you will find plenty to read. 2) Pay Per Click. This is another way to get your internet home business off and running. This service is offered by Google, Yahoo! and MSN to name a few. Google AdWords will provide the most potential traffic, but you will have competition for the best keywords. What does this mean? AdWords (and the others) work by allowing you to create an advertisement (usually a headline and a couple of sentences). You choose the keywords about your product that will be in your ad. Then you place a bid on how much you’re willing to pay for these keywords. After you decide on an amount, your advertisement will be listed on the pages of these search engines. The more you are willing to pay the higher your listing (advertisement) will be. Every time someone clicks on your ad, you pay the bid price that you set. Remember, that click gets them on your web site. It does not guarantee a sale. 3) Articles And Inbound Links Next to SEO, this is a very powerful marketing technique for your online business. Incoming links (links from other web site owners that are on your site) will boost your rankings with the search engines. They interpret sites with multiple incoming links as being an authority on the subject (your product) where these links reside. This is an important criterion for higher positioning thus you increase your rankings with more links. One of the best ways to get these links for your internet home business is through writing articles. There are article “farms” on the internet which will host your articles for free. These sites will sell or give your articles to other website owners. Your benefit comes through a resource box at the end of the article which includes your name and a link to your website. Every time someone takes your article and puts it on their website, you get another important link. There are many successful strategies for marketing on the internet. These three are the building blocks for your home business. Put your time and effort into researching, developing and applying these concepts and you have taken a giant step towards making money online. Crucial Ingredients For Online Business Success http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comStarting an internet home business is not an easy task. Creating a successful work from home venture will take time and effort. If you are new to the concept of making money online, you will have a learning curve to conquer. You will be discovering new principles and applying these concepts to developing your home based business. Unfortunately, you will encounter obstacles on the path that leads to selling on the internet. Despite their accessibility, online businesses have some disadvantages when they are compared to brick and mortar stores. These inconveniences are due to the limitations created by the same internet where your online store will reside. These will be some of the challenges that you will face: ---> Intangible Merchandise ---> Shipping Information ---> Damaged Goods ---> Returning Products ---> Technical Problems 1) Intangible Merchandise One of the main disadvantages of an internet business is the inability for shoppers to examine your products. Customers do not get to inspect the items that they have purchased from your online store until their package has arrived. When you are developing your web business, make sure that the description of your products is accurate and that the images you use are clear and precise. Take advantage of the technology that allows customers a 360 degree scan of your items. Give your buyers the opportunity to enlarge the image of the products. More information for your shoppers translates into an opportunity for a sale. In addition, provide a phone number on your website so that your visitors can call you if they have any questions. 2) Shipping Information Another concern that faces your online business venture is the issues that surround the shipping of your products. An on site store gives customers immediate possession of the items. They do not have to wait and they do not have to pay for shipping. Fortunately, this inconvenience is something that most internet store shoppers accept but you have to make this information available inside your online business. The more facts that you give your potential buyers, the easier their decision will be. Communication is the tool that will alleviate your customer’s concerns. When you are creating the web site for your online business, provide an obvious button or a link that will give your visitors access to your shipping information. Inform your customers about shipping costs, shipping agent(s) and delivery times. If you are drop shipping your products, your distributors will have all of these facts available for you to post inside your internet store. List your phone number on every page. 3) Damaged Goods The next problem that faces your internet business store is goods that are damaged during transit. This situation will happen and you need to be prepared. Discovering where the misfortune occurred will be difficult to determine. The saying that the customers are always right can be applied in these circumstances. Even though you may lose money, you may gain life long clients. As you are developing your online home business, consider how you will approach this issue. Remember, your customers cannot run down to the store and exchange the products or get a refund. They will have to repackage the items, drive to the post office and spend money on return shipping. Give your buyers an easy access to your damaged goods policy on your web site. Make it clear what they can expect during the process. Be detailed and precise. Stay in contact with your customers through phone calls or E-mails. Again, if you are drop shipping, your distributors will give you this information. If not, create your own procedure. Remember, list your phone number on your web pages. 4) Returning Products Returns will be a fact of life for your online home business. Remember, your customers did not get to examine the products and they may be unhappy when their items arrive. Your return policy is similar to your damaged goods procedure but there are some differences. Make it clear in your internet store the length of time that you will give your buyers to return the product. Again, be specific with your policy. Will you charge a re-stocking fee? Will you pay for return shipping? What happens if the merchandise is damaged during transit? How long before they get a refund (or credit). Once again, there is an inconvenience factor that must be considered. Not only theirs but yours as well. Communicate to your buyers through phone calls or E-mails what to expect during this process. If you drop ship, follow your distributor’s guidelines. 5) Technical Problems One of the most frustrating aspects for an online home business is when your internet server is having problems. These situations are out of your control and patience becomes your companion. If your provider is down, your store is closed whether you like it or not. Lost orders can happen if your server is having difficulties. The technical problems of your internet provider will send you to a new level of aggravation. These occurrences can happen frequently and they are unpredictable and uncontrollable. All you can do is wait. If the delay is too long, call technical support. They can give you a good idea of how long the inconvenience will last. If the resolution is taking longer than expected, call or E-mail your customer and explain what is happening. Generally, these interruptions do not last for long but be prepared, they will happen Developing an online presence with your internet home business requires a commitment for comprehending all aspects of your venture. It is essential that you increase your awareness of the challenges that will litter your path toward making money online. Preparation can avoid wasted time that would be better used for developing other aspects of your work from home venture. Beware The Challenges Of An Online Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comIf you are thinking about creating an internet home business you need to consider the drawbacks for your work from home venture. Despite their accessibility, online businesses have some disadvantages when compared to brick and mortar stores. These inconveniences are due to the limitations created by the same internet where your online business will reside. One of the main disadvantages of an internet business is the inability for shoppers to inspect merchandise. Another drawback is the time that they have to wait for their shipment to arrive. Customers are not 100% sure of what they have purchased in your online home business until their package has been delivered. If the same patron buys the product at an on site store, they know exactly what they are getting and they take immediate possession. Return policies are another issue you need to consider before you start your work from home business. Even though you will have a return policy for your online store, the procedures that your customer will have to follow are more difficult than simply returning an item to a physical location. If the purchaser is unhappy with their selection, they will need to package and resend the product. This takes time and costs money. Damaged goods are another situation that needs to be factored into your internet home business. Whether or not the problem occurred while in transit or at the customer’s home can be difficult to prove. You run the risk of losing money on every aspect of the transaction. Your potential to make a profit will probably turn into a loss. You have lost the product, your shipping costs and your time. Deception is a thought that crosses every consumers mind. Online businesses are particularly vulnerable to this problem. The potential customer in your internet store can only see and read what is posted on your website. They do not have access to what really happens “behind-the-scenes”. The internet is not governed by the laws of any particular region or country, so prosecuting the offending party is very difficult, if not impossible. It is far more complicated to deal with a website than with a physical store. Problems with your internet server can create situations that are out of your control. If your server is down, your store is closed whether you like it or not. Lost orders can happen when your server is having difficulties. Technical problems can send you to a new level of aggravation. These occurences can happen frequently and they are unpredictable and uncontrollable. When you are spending your time conversing with technical support, you are not devoting your energy to creating new ideas for bringing success to your home based internet business. Developing an online presence with your internet home business requires a commitment to learn all aspects of your venture. It is essential that you increase your awareness of the challenges that will litter your path toward making money online. Article Writing 101 http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comOne of the best ways to launch your home business to the next level is through article writing. This concept has proven to be one of the most effective viral marketing techniques for developing your work from home business. You submit your composition to the internet through E-zines, article directories, article sites, E-mail groups, distribution lists and article announcement lists. These sites are visited by thousands of people on a daily basis. The potential for your internet business success is enhanced with every article that you write and submit. Unfortunately, many people do not think that they can write an effective article. This could not be further from the truth. Your ideas, your experiences and your insights can be shared with your potential readers. Your features can not only be interesting, but you might communicate an idea that could change your audience. There is something in your life that is worth writing about. You need to coax your insights out of your head and unto a piece of paper. There are four concepts that can help you get started: ---Choose A Topic ---Create An Outline ---Use Good Tools ---Write 1) Choose A Topic Before you begin, you need to find a quiet place where you can eliminate your distractions and focus your concentration. Get a pen and a piece of paper and make five columns. Put these headings at the top of each section: Experiences – Knowledge – Interests – Expert – Passionate You need to put your grey matter to work and let your thinking processes flow. Under each heading list four to five ideas that apply to that section. What are your experiences? What are you knowledgeable about? What are your interests? What are you an expert on? What are you passions? Writing these ideas on a piece of paper will get your creative “juices flowing”. After you are done brainstorming, choose the topic that you will write about. Do not throw this list away! You have some potential articles for the future. 2) Create An Outline Do you remember the 4th grade when you were taught how to write your first composition? Do you remember the guidelines? Those principles are the same today as they were back then: Create an introduction, develop a main body and a write a conclusion. a) Introduction Now that you have your topic, tell your readers what to expect. This is your introduction. But, you do not want to write it yet. You will be preparing your audience to read your composition and you want to arouse their interest. The main body of your article will help you focus on the ideas you want to present in your introduction. The goal of your introduction is to grab the attention of your listeners so they will want to continue reading. b) Main Body Your topic is the compass for the major points that you want to communicate with your article. Write down the main ideas that you want to convey to your audience on a piece of paper. Consider at least 3-5 major points that you want to deliver with your feature. Write a brief sentence that describes what you want to say next to each major point. Writing your article is simply a matter of elaborating on each point with about 3-5 sentences. After you have created your main body, go back and write your introduction. Take the short sentences that you created and tie them together in an opening paragraph. Give your readers a taste of what to expect in your article. Make your introduction interesting. Remember, you want to elevate the attention of your audience. c) Conclusion Your conclusion is a recap of your article. This is your last opportunity to reinforce your main points and create a meaningful impact on your audience. Reread your introduction and your main body. This will help you to focus on encouraging the readers with your final thoughts. 3) Use Good Tools The essential tools for creating your articles are a good dictionary, a good thesaurus and a good word processor. These are the basics that will get you started towards developing your features. If you have not written for awhile, you will need to review grammar, syntax and punctuation rules. The internet can provide you with a wealth of information for rebuilding your writing skills 4) Write After you create your outline, put pen to paper (or finger tip to keyboard) and start. This is a very important concept. Do not listen to that inner voice that is working against you. You can write but you must begin and your outline is your guide. Use it and refer to it regularly. This will prevent you from bogging down and giving up. Here are other ideas to consider: a) Start writing immediately after you finish your outline. b) Don’t get frustrated. Your creativity will come. c) Express your ideas freely without concern for appearance. d) Reread and rewrite. e) Use your tools. f) Check spelling, grammar and punctuation (yourself and with your word processor). g) Proofread your article several times. h) Take a break, come back and reread your article. i) Fine tune if necessary. Writing and submitting articles could propel your home business to the next level. Don’t be intimidated if you have not written for awhile. The key is to communicate in your own voice with a willingness to share helpful ideas with your readers. If this is your motivation, you will become an effective writer. Consider these ideas as you journey towards your home business success. Business Plan Ideas For Your Work From Home Venture http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comNearly every successful business has created a business plan during the life of the company. It is a good idea to develop a strategy for your home business as well. These plans can be used for a variety of reasons. One possibility is when you are seeking funds. This can apply to fundraising, a bank loan, or individual investors. Your business plan shows how and why investing in your work at home business is a smart financial idea. There are several types of business plans. You need to examine each one and decide which would be suitable for your home based business. There is the elevator pitch business plan, which acts as a teaser. These plans are used in short, two or three minute presentations in order to spark greater interest from a group of investors or a bank. You will have a short time period to present your plan so you must be quick but specific during your presentation. There is the oral presentation plan, which usually focuses on being interesting and entertaining. This plan encourages potential investors to move forward and read the written plan. Your written strategy will be more detailed and include all the bottom line financial considerations. The oral presentation generates excitement and interest for your investors and provides the facts and figures later. If you have a sample of your home business product, include it with your presentation. A demonstration of your work from home product will usually be a good idea for getting the attention of your investors. The written business plan is where it all comes together for your home business idea. This can be as lengthy as it needs to be and should be used with all of these plans. Once your work at home business has successfully attracted some interest from potential investors, they are given the written plan and can decide whether or not they think your internet business plan might be successful. Business plans are a must for the home business owner who is looking to gain capital and seek for loans from lending institutions. They are likewise necessary for those publicly traded companies that need to let stockholders know about their future plans. If neither of these applies to you, your work from home business plan is an excellent way to set down goals and give direction to your work from home adventure. Choosing A Name For Your Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comWhen we hear the word “name” we generally think of a person, a friend or a family member. Maybe we think of our own name. Names are important because they provide identity, meaning and uniqueness. These same concepts are applicable to home business names. When you are considering a title for your work from home adventure you want to make sure that it is something distinctive. Consider shopping for a pair of shoes. You would look for a store whose title was associated with this product. Consumers look for business names that are appealing, familiar, and to the point. This same idea applies when you choose a title for your home based business. If you want to increase your chances for your home business success, you need to consider these factors. When you are contemplating a title for your internet business, use some of the resources that surround you. Ideas can come from the dictionary, books, magazines, street signs and nature. Choose a name that is interesting and appealing. Your work from home business title should not only communicate about your services or products but also what your home business is about. Your home business name should be recognizable and memorable. Think of some businesses where you have shopped. Consider a product and most likely you can name a store famous for selling that item. Imagine electronics, toys, clothes or appliances. A name is sure to pop into your head. This is what you want for your home business. Be sure to do your research before you choose a title for your work at home venture. Look for trademarks and registrations before you settle on a name. You don’t need legal problems. If this seems overwhelming and you have some extra money to develop your home business, you might consider an ad agency. They would assign a name consultant who would do all of the above work for you. In addition, they would find a business title that would place value, expertise and uniqueness into your internet venture. This is effective but expensive. It can cost up to $35,000 just to develop a name. If you have enough money in your budget this can be a prime way to develop a unique title. If your home business budget is tight you could always recruit your friends and family to do some brainstorming for an ingenious work from home business name. Take your time and find the name that suits your home based business. Remember, your potential customers are looking for a title that is appealing, familiar, and to the point. Creating A Home Office For Your Internet Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comYour home office plays an integral part in the development of your internet business. You will be spending a great deal of time in your office and it is important that you develop an atmosphere that will contribute to the success of your internet adventure. Your business plan, your product line, your marketing plan, your choices, your decisions and your achievements will develop within the walls of your home office. It is essential that you create the surroundings that will make your journey to online prosperity easier. There are six areas that you need to consider before you design your home business office: ---Location ---Setting ---Furniture ---Equipment ---Software ---Supplies 1) Location The perfect location for a work from home business office is a separate room. A spare bedroom, a den, a basement, a converted garage, or other empty space would be ideal. The goal is to limit your distractions by insulating yourself. Focus is what you are after. Don’t have a spare room? Choose an area that is quiet and isolated. Remember, you will be managing a home business and you need an environment that is conducive for success. Constant distractions and interruptions will not get your online venture to that level. 2) Setting Choose a room or a location that has the proper conditions. You will need adequate lighting, good acoustics and a suitable temperature. You do not want to be straining your eyes, covering your ears while you are catching pneumonia. The setting for your internet business office must be comfortable enough for you to concentrate. Without concentration, you will make very little progress toward making money online. 3) Furniture Think desk and chair. Select a seat and backrest that are comfortable and adjustable. You will be spending large amounts of time in your chair and you don’t want to be suffering from back aches and neck aches. Test the chair and make sure it gives you the support that you need. The desk must have a large work area to occupy the papers, folders, books and tools that you will be using. If you have the space in your home and the leeway in your budget, invest in the largest desk you can. It helps when all of your home office tools are easily accessible. If your budget is small, invest in a desk that is large enough to accommodate your paper work, your computer and your monitor. 4) Equipment The most important equipment expenditure that you will make for your home business is your computer and your internet provider. Try to invest in your own computer. Again, if money is tight and you have to use the family computer, make sure that your files are protected. You will be spending extended intervals on the internet. If you must use a dial-up connection, be prepared to stare at your monitor for long periods as you wait for information to upload or download. Go with cable, DSL or satellite as soon as you get the opportunity. You need to devote your time to better pursuits than watching how much longer it will take a file to download. As your business grows, invest in a separate phone line for your work from home venture. Add an answering machine, copy/printer/fax machine, postal meter (depending on what you sell), scanner, calculator, notebook computer and a clock to your shopping list. 5) Software A word processor, spread sheet and accounting software will help get your work at home business organized. These are the basics but they will get your online enterprise pointed in the right direction. In addition, you will need to invest in a firewall, anti-virus software and anti-spyware to protect you while you are on the internet. As your internet venture develops, you will be introduced to software that will simplify the management of your home business. For now, these should get you started. 6) Supplies Invest in the basics but make sure that you have an adequate supply. You do not want to run out of printer ink at 10:00 P.M. on Sunday night. Consider these essentials for your home business office: stationery, envelopes, mailing labels, business cards, paper, file folders (Tip: have a separate folder for every aspect of your internet business), note pads, Post-Its, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, stapler, paper clips, rubber bands, scissors, tape, glue, printer ink, printer paper, file cabinet AND pictures of your loved ones for your desk (very important). Most of these are already in your home but you should plan on outfitting your office with the ones you don’t have as soon as you can. Remember to have extra! Every aspect of your home business is a building block to your online success. If you put the time and the effort into creating an organized and functional home office, your internet enterprise will operate more smoothly. In addition, you will be developing the patterns that will propel you to making money online. Creating A Business Card For Your Work From Home Venture http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comLet’s face it! Most of us have been given a business card for some product or service and within a few minutes we toss it. We may glance at the graphics or read the name but if the card didn’t get our attention, it’s history. With this in mind, here are some tips that you can use when you are designing a card for your work from home enterprise. Utilizing this information might save your internet business card a trip to the trash can. These cards can be a simple and effective part of your home based business marketing plan. They tell potential customers who you are and what you are about in an informal way. When creating your work at home business card there are some key areas to keep in mind. Your card should present a professional appearance that people will remember. Use a style that supports your business image. Consider your card to be the first impression that your home business will make on potential clients. It’s similar to the perception that you create when encountering someone for the first time. If you were meeting a possible customer, you wouldn’t show up in sweats and sneakers. You would probably be dressed for success in a casual suit. This same type of impression applies to your home based business card. You want to think about image and style when selecting your internet business card. There are five main card styles that you can choose from. 1. Basic - a card that simply lists the facts about your home business. It is simple, clear and concise. 2. Picture - a photo of the sales representative or business will appear on the card. An example of this would be a real estate agent’s card. 3. Tactile - this is about the texture and feel of the card. Both sight and touch are affected by this style. 4. Multi-purpose – these are cards that carry additional information besides the names. A discount coupon or appointment space could be on the card. 5. Outside the box - creativity flows free. Colors, textures and uniqueness are included in this card style. It’s all about catching a customer’s eye. Once you have selected a card style that portrays your work from home business accurately, it is time to order your cards. Here are some ideas to consider. 1) Weight of the card – this is the thickness. 2) Finish of the card – your choices are smooth, linen and laid. Smooth finish is the usual choice. 3) Color of the card – you can choose neutral colors or you can choose bright colors. 4) Quantity – you may receive a discount with a large order. Make sure that your information (home business name, personal name, address, email, website, cellular phone number) is correct. You want to give your potential customers a variety of ways to contact you. Every aspect of your home business must be examined so that you can find success with your work from home venture. Consider these tips as a small part of your plan for making money online. You need to invest your money, time and effort wisely to provide yourself with the opportunity for your internet prosperity. If you can leave the responsibility for buying, stocking, inventorying, packaging, shipping and re-stocking products to someone else, you will have more occasions to develop your home business opportunity. Consider the advantages of drop shipping: a) No stock to deal with. b) No shipping supplies to buy. c) No space needed to store your products. d) No concerns about buying now and hoping to sell later. e) No initial outlay of capital to buy your products. f) No shipping charges to pay. g) No restocking concerns. h) More time to grow your home based business. Disadvantages of Drop Shipping There are drawbacks to the drop shipping process. The two biggest areas that you need to consider are profit margin and product control. Most drop shippers will charge a small fee for their services. Remember, you are using their warehouse, their shipping resources and their time with every order that you place. The official term for all of these aspects is “handling” and you will need to decide what to do about this cost. Will you absorb this fee so that your selling price will be more competitive or will you pass this cost to your customer? Product control is another disadvantage that you will encounter. When your distributor is “out of stock”, your internet business is “out of stock”. With drop shipping, you do not get the opportunity to accumulate your best selling items. You can only sell your product one at a time from your online store. It is hard to make a profit when some of your items are on back order. Consider the disadvantages of drop shipping: a) You will have to pay a fee for shipping your products. b) You do not have control over your items. c) You may lose customers and profits when your products are out of stock. d) You do not have an inventory of your best selling items. e) You may not know a product is out of stock until after you order. f) You will have a smaller profit margin. g) You are limited to selling your distributor’s product line. You need to weigh the advantages against the disadvantages. If you are beginning your internet home business, drop shipping will give you the time to grow with your online business opportunity. There are drawbacks but drop shipping provides the easiest way to approach the learning curve of your internet success. As you are developing your online business, consider using drop shipping for your internet home venture. There will be new ideas and concepts that you will have to grasp as you are creating your work from home enterprise. Consider the possibility of assigning some of the obligations for your home based business to someone else. The best use of your time is growing your business. Drop shipping can give you that opportunity. Licenses And Permits Needed For Your Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comCities, counties and states require business licenses and permits for work from home businesses as well as brick and mortar stores. Your business and product (or service) will dictate the type of license and/or permit that you will need. Before you begin your work at home venture, you will have to contact the various agencies and talk to them about the qualifications for your enterprise. Business Licenses A business license may be required. Call your local authorities and tell them about your plans. Find out if your business is zoned for the location you are considering. Many home businesses are not allowed in subdivisions and other neighborhoods. The reason: you might create additional traffic or disruption of privacy because of your work from home business. You will have to fill out an application and pay a fee through the license department. Once this is done your business license should be good for about a year. If you plan to venture into other cities, you will have to apply for a license in every location. This idea is more applicable for a brick and mortar store rather than a home business. Permits Permits are required to ensure that you are following all safety guidelines and regulations. The goal is to protect yourself, your business and the public. The type of permit that you will need depends on your business and the product (or service) you sell. Chances are very good that your city, county or state may require a permit for a home based business. It is essential that you keep the lines of communication open with these administrators. The success of your work at home business is dependent upon your enterprise being legal. Below is a list of some permits and licenses that might be needed for your work from home business. 1) Fire department permit If your business handles any flammable materials you will be required to carry a fire department permit. 2) Air and Water Control Permit If your business expels any substances into the water, ground or air you will need a permit from the EPA. 3) Sign Permit If your company requires an advertising sign, you may need a sign permit depending on size or type. 4) State Licenses States require a Tax I.D. if your company is selling is a taxable good. In addition, most states require a license or permit if you are developing a work at home enterprise. 5) Health Department Permit If your business is selling food items you will need a permit from the health department. You need to lay a solid foundation for your home business. Before you begin to consider any aspect of your work from home adventure, do your research to see what the governing authorities require. Contact your city, county and state license/permit departments. This will be an essential first step towards laying the groundwork for your home business success. Are you looking for your freedom? I found mine! http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comHow much of your life have you given to your employer? I was 55 years old and I was beginning to think about retirement but I was not happy. I was working for an employer who provided a good salary and good benefits but I did not have contentment. I had a beautiful wife, three children, eight grandchildren but something was missing. I felt like a prisoner Monday thru Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. and I saw "Dead End" signs every time I went to work. I was not happy. What is the one thing that we search for in our lives? Most people would answer that it is happiness. Does happiness come through fame, wealth, success? Some people might mention one of these three or suggest something else. For me, my happiness comes through contentment and my contentment comes through my freedom. Everyday, every week, every month that I trudged to work, I kept asking myself if I wanted to spend the next 10 years of my working for someone else. I felt trapped and discouraged. I asked myself who was in control of my life. I wanted to take back my freedom and search for a better way. If you are happy with your employer, I am glad for you. I was not and I needed to find a pathway to my independence. I resolved to work from home and become MY OWN BOSS. I took my financial future out of the hands of those who were signing my checks and put the opportunity for financial freedom into MY hands. I determine how hard I want to work. I decide when I want to quit for the day. Most importantly, I choose when I want to spend time with my family. I now enjoy the freedom of being in control of my life, my future and the well being of my loved ones. My family is my most important possession. When I was working for someone else, I had to search for the time that I wanted to devote to my loved ones. The lawn needed mowing, the car needed washing, the plumbing needed fixing. It is very difficult to complete all of the tasks that surround us AND find the time that we want to spend with our loved ones. My home business has given me the freedom to enjoy ALL the family time that I desire. In fact, today is Friday afternoon and I will be taking two of my grandsons to the movies. It does not get any better than that. Do not misunderstand what I am trying to say. I have had my home business for three years and I have worked very hard to make it successful. And I will continue to strive to make it profitable. But I have taken back the freedom in my life that I felt I was losing. Do you feel that you have lost your freedom? Do you want to find it? Consider the possibility of starting your own home business. Your work from home business will require a commitment of time and effort but the rewards could bring you the freedom that you desire. The Best Way To Start Your Internet Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comYou have made your decision. You want to start a work from home venture. The idea of making money online is something you desire. An internet business could bring financial freedom to you and your family. You say to yourself “I’m ready but what do I do?” The next step towards success is discovering the product that you want to sell for your new online income opportunity. Not only must you decide what to sell, you need to know if there are enough customers to make your home based business profitable. This is where you lay the foundation for your work at home adventure. You will have to do homework which means you will need to do research. Here is a checklist for your research: 1) Make a list of prospective products. 2) Search the internet for your potential items. 3) Invest in a keyword search tool. 4) Narrow your list to three possibilities. A) Make A List Of Prospective Products You are starting on the road that leads to the success of your internet home business but you do not see any direction signs. Sit down and make a list of the possible items that you would like to sell. These will guide you down the correct path. Let your imagination flow through your ideas. When you are gathering this information consider the things that you enjoy or that you buy. Think small items. Think big products. Think information. Maybe you have an idea that has been simmering inside of you for creating your own product. Don’t limit your thinking to tangible goods. Information is one of the biggest sellers on the internet. A how-to-guide or an E-book could be waiting to spring from your genius. Think outside the box! B) Search The Internet For Your Potential Items This is called supply and you need to know who your potential competitors might be. Competition is a good thing but an oversaturated market will not bring you the success for making money at home. Make a list of these websites. Remember, you may be looking for internet stores that are selling tangible products as well as intangible items (depending on your list). While you are doing this research, analyze these websites to gather information for future reference. How much are they selling the product for? Do they offer any incentives to buy? How is their website designed? What do you like about their internet store? What don’t you like about their online business? Would you buy from this internet business? The thing to remember is that you may be looking at your competitors and you need to be familiar with them. C) Invest In A Keyword Search Tool This is called demand and you need to know how often people are searching for your potential product. Some good keyword search tools are: a) Word tracker (Free Trial) b) Good Keywords (Free) c) Overture (Free) When you are using these tools make sure that you search for “keywords” or “keyword terms” that you would use if you were looking for the same item. This is very important. You need to put yourself in the place of your potential online store customer. What “keywords” or “keyword terms” would you use to find your internet product? It would be a good idea to take notes on the related search terms that these tools will offer you. They can be used for future reference in your marketing plan (how you will be advertising your products). The results that you receive from these keyword search tools indicate how many people have looked for that word or term during a particular time period (usually a month). You want to find products that have a large number of people searching for them on a regular basis. D) Narrow Your List To Three Possibilities Armed with all of this information, you need to narrow your choices to three or less. Your selections will be based on items that have a low supply but a large demand. Use this concept as your focal point. This idea is NOT carved in stone but it will be a helpful guideline during your research. If you are having a difficult time finding your internet home business products, you will need to create another potential list and retrace each step. When you have made your choices, you are ready to venture to the next level of creating success for making money online. On this level, your research will answer these questions: 1) Where can you sell your internet products? 2) How will you sell your online items? 2) What is your marketing plan for your home based business? Remember, you are laying the foundation for a work from home adventure with your initial steps. The journey has just begun but your success will develop with the degree of your effort. Exporting Your Home Business Creation http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comThe idea of exporting your work from home products may seem a bit absurd but you must think outside the box. If you have invented the next internet fad, the world may be waiting to buy it. It is essential that you consider every avenue for bringing success to your home based business. There are many companies that offer great products. At times, the demand for their goods may moderate. The need to find other customers must be considered. But the question is, “how do you do this”? Finding more markets for your home business creation can be achieved through exports. Exporting from a work at home business presents several challenges. For example, before you think about penetrating a foreign market, it is important to consider the demand for your product. Countries have different cultures and different religions. A product that sells in one country may not sell in another. You will have to do your homework and become familiar with trade restrictions, tariffs and quotas before you consider expanding the reach of your home based business. You will need to investigate and see if your creation is restricted in the country that you are considering. There are also quality standards that your product must meet if you want to enter the foreign market. Consider the food industry. Some countries impose strict quality measures by checking for the amount of preservatives and other ingredients of your food product. Look at the electronics industry. Electronics need to have complete and specific instructions on how the products should be used to avoid accidents and other risks. You will need to put these instructions in the national language of the country. There is significant work involved before you can introduce your work at home invention to the world. Other issues you need to weigh are taxes, payment methods, and shipping. Research these one at a time. Value added taxes are involved in some transactions. Payment methods include transaction fees and currency conversions. Shipping requires that your home based invention will arrive safely and without damage. With all of these issues, you might wonder if you should export at all. When you are beginning a home business adventure, it starts with an idea. Keep your plan flexible. You do not know where your work from home venture will take you. Think outside the box and be willing to leave your comfort zone. Exporting may take you to a level of success in your home working journey that you cannot conceive. Protecting Your Home Business Invention http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comOne of the most disheartening experiences that can happen is when you create a winning product for your work at home business and your competitors copy it. How can you prevent this from happening? If you invent something that is unique, you should get a patent. Patents give you the protection that you need because it provides you with the sole right to produce your creation for your work from home enterprise. A patent for your home based business product gives you the exclusive rights to produce your innovation for a specific country and for a precise number of years. One of the main qualifications for a patent is that your invention must be unique, it must be new to the market and you must have a defined process to produce it. A mere idea cannot be protected if you cannot manufacture it. Do you think that your creation could introduce your home business to a world wide market? If you want to be the sole manufacturer of your product then you need to register your patent in every existing country. The patent will last for 20 years but you will need to register this patent every year after the first 4 years from the date it was granted. If you fail to register on a particular year, then the patent is considered expired and other companies will be free to manufacture your invention. You could lose your business opportunity from home. Design rights are another way to protect your creation and your work from home income. The design right can last for 15 years but this kind of protection may not be adequate. When you apply for design rights, the description of your product is not specific. Another company could copy your invention and it would be difficult to prove. Registered design is a form of security to avoid this problem. The registered design can last for 25 years and it is more comprehensive than the design right. It covers almost all areas of your product including the color, the texture, the lines, the materials, the contours, and even the two dimensional design. If you are seeking comprehensive protection then the registered design is what you need. If you are planning to develop a brick and mortar store, an online internet venture or a home business you need to be prepared. If you decide that you are going to create your own product or product line, make sure that you consider getting a patent, a design right or a registered design to safeguard yourself and your home business. Reasons to Diversify Your Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comOne concept that you need to consider for bringing success to your work at home venture is multiple streams of income. There are many uncertainties in business and you need to prepare your home based undertaking for those periods when sales are slow. Unfortunately, this is a fact for brick and mortar stores, online ventures and home based businesses. What can you do to prepare for those intervals? Multiple streams of income can fill the void when sales are sluggish in one of your enterprises. Diversification is equivalent to saying “don’t put all of your eggs in one basket”. You need to protect your home business income from adversity. Not only will you protect yourself from uncertainty but you will begin to "grow" your opportunity for making money at home. There are two important considerations for developing multiple streams of income while earning money from home. ==========>How To Develop Multiple Streams Of Income<========== 1) Introducing new but related products or services to the existing market. This will give more choices to your existing customers or provide additional choices to potential clients. Introduce new flavors or new styles of your established products. 2) Expanding the market reach of your present products or services. This will open a new avenue of sales if the present market is already near its saturation point. Reaching out for a wider market is bound to increase your income. 3) Introducing new products for a new market. This is one of the best ways to create a new source of income. Start a new online store or introduce a new product to your home based business. Remember that you must do your marketing research to verify that this will be a profitable venture. ==========>How Should You Diversify<================= Developing another source of income carries potential risks. You must do your research to see if this venture can be successful. Consider these ideas as a guideline: 1) Thorough and reliable research of the potential market AND the potential customers of the products or services that you will be offering is essential. Your results will help you modify your plan. 2) Effective product development must precede any commitment to developing your new source of income. New products or services should be tested and adjusted according to your results. 3) Available resources to complete research, development and testing are required. It is significant to understand that these resources include your time and effort. Developing another source of income for your home business will require the same commitment that you allocated to start your initial work at home adventure. There are no single rules for developing multiple streams of income for your work from home venture. Your diversification depends on the factors you discovered with your research. The next step is to analyze your information and develop a marketing plan for your success. Multiple streams of income will provide you with the protection that you need from economic downturns. In addition, you will be developing your home based business into a vehicle that can launch you to financial prosperity. 4 Essential Ingredients To Work From Home Success http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.com1) The most important factor in a successful home business is: a) Marketing Plan b) Sales Copy c) Web Site Layout d) Customers 2) My communication skills are: a) Poor b) Average c) Good d) Excellent Every aspect of your work at home business relies on your communication. Your business plan; your sales copy; your e-mails; your web site; your phone calls; your marketing plan; AND your customers. How important are your patrons in your plan for work from home success? How eager are you to meet and exceed the needs of your clients in your online business or home business? How willing are you to improve your communication skills? Your client's requirements are the same whether you have a work from home business, a brick and mortar store or an internet venture. They need to trust you and good communication can develop that credibility. Your number one goal is to create a long term association with your customers. And the way to accomplish that purpose is to convey through your messages that your clients are your most important asset. Communication is exchanging information between people. The key ingredient to good interaction is that the receiver must understand the intent of the speaker. To increase your opportunity for success, you will need good communication skills. An online internet store or a home business provides an opportunity for unlimited amounts of interaction with your customers. They will call you with questions about your products, your shipping costs, your delivery times. They will call you with a complaint, a concern, or a cancellation. You must always be ready to use your communication skills to enhance your relationship with your clients. Here are four ideas for improving your communication skills. These concepts can be applied to the written word or to the spoken word. They can be applied to your internet store, your home business or your personal life. The key ingredient is to put yourself in the place of the recipient. How would you respond to the meaning of your words? 1) Be Reassuring The intent of your words is to give confidence to the individual that you are communicating with. You can open wide the road of trust if you articulate that everything will be okay. Think about situations where you were involved and you were unsure about the outcome. How did you feel when you received reassurance? When it was missing, how did you respond? Give your customers the reassurance that they need and they will trust you. 2) Be Encouraging The purpose of your communication is to make the listener feel better while you are interacting with them. Give your clients optimism with your written or spoken words. Have you ever dealt with frustration? Did you receive encouragement at that moment? What happened when it was missing? Put yourself in the position of your listener. Use words that encourage and they will rely upon you. 3) Be Respectful The goal of your message is to convey to your audience that they are an important asset. Scenario #1:You are on the phone talking with a representative of a company that you are considering doing business with. The individual makes you feel that you are important to the success of their company. Will you to do business with them? Scenario #2: You are on the phone with another representative and the tone of the person’s voice conveys annoyance. Will you give them your hard earned money? Communicate high regard to the person that you are speaking with or that you are writing to. Treat your listener as if the success of your home business is dependent upon them. They will become a life long customer. 4) Be Helpful The aim of your information is to articulate an attitude of eagerness to satisfy your customers. Communicate this willingness to go the extra mile with your spoken and written words. How do you feel when a sales person does everything they can do to make you a satisfied customer? How do you react when the sales person rushes through the transaction? Where will you take your business? Go above and beyond the call of duty and they will tell their friends about you. Your communication skills contribute to the success of your online business or your home business. Every positive aspect that you bring to your venture will pave the road to your prosperity for making money online or at home. What will YOU do to make your work at home business successful? Develop A Plan For Your Internet Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comJust about every successful venture started out with a business plan. This concept applies to owners of brick and mortar stores or work from home enterprises. The goal is to develop a guideline that will give you the direction you need. In addition, as your online business begins to evolve, you can refer to your strategy and see if you are on track to meet your goals or if you need to make some adjustments. Many internet businesses succeed because they adapt their plan. The prosperity of your home based business oportunity may depend on your willingness to change. It is important to consider making adjustments in your home business strategy because your modifications may bring you the online income that you are searching for. Consider your business plan similar to a road map. You have starting points, destinations and the routes you plan to travel. You set your time lines and you estimate how long it will take you to arrive at each goal. However, along the way you run into unexpected obstacles. Slow traffic or washed out roads force you to take another direction. A business plan is no different. Unforeseen situations develop. You may be forced to reevaluate your strategy if you want to find success in your home working opportunity. Most home based business plans are established with time lines of one, two, five or ten years to meet their goals. While meeting some of these targets may be easy, unexpected developments may impel you to make changes. Consider the business plans of airlines following the disaster of September 11, 2001. No one could have predicted this type of occurrence. This unforeseen event forced the airlines to close for several days and they had to feverishly rewrite their business plans. This concept can be applied to your internet home business as well. You never know what tomorrow may bring. You do not control the economy. You do not control consumer spending. Any number of situations can materialize that will affect your internet business. While your plan will help you keep on track to hit specific targets, keep in mind that your ideas are written on paper and not carved in stone. Reevaluating your business strategy will help you meet your short term goals as well as your long term goals. Effective Communication For Your Home Business http://www.Best-IncomeOpportunities.comEffective communication is very important in creating an online business that can meet and exceed your customer’s requirements. Your client's needs are the same whether you have a work from home business or a brick and mortar store. Good communication develops good relationships. It is important to understand how communication works and how you can effectively interact with your customers, your employees, even your family members. These ideas can also be applied to your internet business. Communication is basically a transfer of meaning from the speaker to the receiver. The key ingredient is that the receiver must understand the intent of what is being said. There are several ways to convey information which include verbal, non-verbal, body language and verbal intonation. You will find in your home based business that verbal, verbal intonation and writing play a crucial role in the success (or failure) of your interactions. How important is your home business? To increase your opportunity for success, you will need good communication skills. An online internet store provides the opportunity for more interaction with your customers than you think. They will call with questions about your products, your shipping costs, your delivery times. They will call you with a complaint, a concern, or a cancellation. You must always be ready to use your communication skills to enhance your relationship with your clients. Make sure that the tone of your voice is reassuring and that the words you use are encouraging. Treat every customer the way you would expect to be treated. Relate to your specific clients as if this individual could be the success or failure of your home business. Develop an attitude of eagerness to satisfy your customers. Then make sure you communicate this willingness with words AND the intonation of those words. Your written word must follow the lead of your spoken word: 1) Be reassuring 2) Be encouraging 3) Be respectful 4) Be helpful Your communication skills can contribute to the success of your online business. Every positive aspect that you bring to your venture will pave the road to your prosperity for making money online.
